Happy New Year Road Trippers!
Firstly we wanted to take this opportunity in thanking you all for your support through what has been an incredibly tough 2 years for everyone. It was no coincidence that we launched Lakes Escape Campers in 2020 at the start of the pandemic adapting as a small holiday business when travel restrictions impacted on our French Rental Business. Through the Covid whirlwind we saw an opportunity to launch ‘Staycations’ whilst ‘Vacations’ were put on hold, although still a bumpy ride we have had huge success AND satisfaction in offering a service where people could explore the UK when restrictions allowed and lucky for us there are plenty of adventure souls out there!
You only have to look at the following numbers to see how many people have the spirit of adventure and we wanted to share this so more people can be inspired to take to the open road and see what good times can be had in one of our girls whether it be a cosy road trip for two or spending quality time with the family.

Wow! Our trio of girls are popular (and very flirty) It is worth mentioning that Dixie hit the road in June ( Delays on parts grrr..) so missed out on the action for a couple of months so this year she will be giving the others a run for their money, watch this space! We had plenty of Weekend getaways with some road trippers opting for longer trips of 10/11/and 14 nights when travelling further afield. Did we mention we give a discount for 2 week trips ( Yep less scrubbing for me ) the longer you stay the less you pay woo hoo!!!!

With our unlimited mileage you can explore every corner of the UK, ok so we are Lakes Escape Campers and we love to meet guests who want to explore this amazing area where we live but picking up our girls for road trips to Scotland was by far the most popular! All girls were lucky enough to explore the NC500 with Dixie going the furthest up north to the Orkney Islands, Roxy couldn’t catch her breath as she went 3 times in a row!! Lakes Escape Campers is defiantly a name to be seen on the NC500 circuit. Loch Lomond proved the most popular for pitching up.

Woahhh….I had to double check this but yep our girls didn’t get much beauty sleep which is why they rest between Dec – Feb ( and me!! )
As a small business we rely on our reputation to build on our success and we love to go the extra mile ( fizz in the fridge for special occasions of course ) It is about the special touches as we know how precious your holidays are. So its hugely encouraging to see our repeat business growing.

I always knew we were a nation of animal lovers and how much our pooches are very much part of the family. One of the top reasons to book with us is that you can bring your fur baby with you, as much as we love to meet you all, we do look forward to meeting your four legged friend a little bit more ( oops did I admit that ) Lucky for us we met 41 Dogs last year and they all entered the Dub Dog Hall Of Fame!!! Which means…that over half of our bookings included your pooches YAY! And the most popular breed…drum roll…COCKAPOOS!
To add that extra bit of sparkle there is a wide selection of extras you can add on to your road trip and we are always adding to the list. I am currently eyeing up the Nespresso Mini Coffee Machines..watch this space but in the meantime have a look at what your fellow road trippers are adding to their bookings

It hasn’t been all plain sailing and you do need to swallow the nerves when running a campervan business as accidents can happen. We know the responsibility of driving off with a home on wheels ( no pressure then ) and we do our best to put you at ease which is why as part of your rental we provide fully comp insurance and road side recovery. Funnily enough ( actually it wasn’t funny ) there was only one roadside recovery last year..with us! Dixie wasn’t feeling very well but at least we got to experience the excellent service the RAC provided…your in good hands! And dare I say it that apart from the latter there was no other issue that we couldn’t resolve and NO guest had their holiday cancelled…there were a couple of swaps but that’s the beauty of having a fleet of vehicles…THANK YOU…THANKYOU for looking after our girls…
Soooo..fingers crossed we have a smoother start to this year and all our girls hit the road stress free..we maybe a little more silver in the hair department but please be assured the red lippy will be applied and we look forward to welcoming you in 2022
