Open Water Swimming

I do not profess to be being a pro open water swimmer, I like to think of myself as a Wild Swimmer or a Wild Dipper at times depending on what time of the year it is.  One thing is for sure, you will never be stuck for places to swim after all we are in the Lake District. Although technically as my son always reminds me there is actually only one Lake the rest are waters. This is where I feel most alive and I call my ‘Happy Place’ the zing of the cold water leaves you feeling exhilarated.

So grab your tow float and take the plunge 🙂

My Top Picks

  • Rydal Water
  • Blea Tarn
  • Lake Windermere
  • Crummock Water
  • Stickle Tarn
  • Grasmere ( recently added )
